Born from a love of the craft.
The Stelter Manufacturing Company was conceived as a way to bring high quality and thoughtfully designed pattern welded Damascus and forged items into the marketplace, bringing an unprecedented level of niftiness to a typically monotonous space.

our story
We have a passion for things built right, tools and materials that invoke a sense of the nostalgia of the influential craftsmanship that blossomed during greatest manufacturing boom in American history. We’re excited to have the opportunity to emulate the legendary western brands at the turn of the 20th century that helped build American manufacturing from behind the scenes; the companies who’s tools and machines we still use in our shop today, over a century after their birth. Our commitment to build thoughtfully designed, interesting and neat products is a direct inspiration from the thousands of strange and fun patents, products and machines in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Our main focus is on the development and production of pattern welded “Damascus” steel, both to build our own fun and whimsical products, as well as supplying it to other companies and makers. This material has been made for as long as steel has been used throughout the world, for swords, tools, armor, guns. Now we’re working to open the door to allow it to be used for anything that can be made of steel. Damascus is beautiful, it has character and no two pieces of pattern weld have ever been the same, bringing a level of uniqueness and soul to everything wrought from it.

how i got started
I started making knives at 13 with no real experience—just curiosity and hours of YouTube videos. My first year was full of rushed, rough work, but I loved it. In 2016, I finished my first usable blade and dove in, spending 20–30 hours a week learning and building.
That same year, I met Salem Straub and Daniel O’Malley, two mentors who shaped my growth. Salem taught me how to forge and make Damascus, while Daniel critiqued nearly every knife I made, pushing me to improve.
After high school and earning my Eagle Scout rank, I moved to Montana. A visit from my friend Alec Steele led to a job working alongside him on his YouTube channel, where I learned everything from casting and carving to machining and running a business.
By 2021, I’d struck out on my own—making knives, shooting videos, and building Stelter Manufacturing Co. from the ground up.

I am a 24 year old bladesmith and Youtuber, more importantly than that I am saved by the grace of God through what Christ did on the cross. I am currently a full time craftsman, and believe God had given me this platform to share the gospel and to be able to love, serve and encourage others well.
