This modern Bowie knife is hand forged from 300 layers of 1080 and 15n20, with a double lug integral guard, sculpted African Blackwood handle, and takedown construction. The blade is flat ground with a convex edge to support going through bone and flesh. The contemporary style of the guard abandons the sharp 90 degree transitions common in this type of knife, in favor of a flowing style which complements the sweeping lines in the rest of the piece.

The high contrast deep etched blade features mirror polished highs with deep blacks, and has a lovely chatoyance that plays in the light.
