This axe was hand-forged from 3 pieces of 420-layer 1080/15N20 Damascus, with brut-de-forge flats and interior, and a polished and etched profile and blade. The whole axe has been blued and drawn back to accentuate the stunning movement and chatoyance of the pattern. It features a 3" cutting edge, with a spike on the back.
 
It is displayed on an industrial style forged steel stand forged from a single piece of bar stock, made to complement the forged features of the axe.
