This historically inspired war hammer was forged from 1060 high-carbon steel and is mounted on a straight grained 21-inch American hickory handle. The spike and striking face are both fully hardened and functional. The spike features four hollow ground faces with a convex tip. The striking face has been hot chiseled to reduce the surface area.

Forged by Will Stelter in our most recent video, where we compared the effectiveness of small, nimble historical war hammers versus the huge, brutish hammers seen in fantasy movies and video games.
 
Will and Matt were each given two days to forge and finish their hammers. They then tested the hammers by smashing and crushing a variety of tropical fruits, as well as evaluating their ability to puncture armor of various thicknesses.
 
Because these hammers have been tested, we will replace and re-handle at no additional cost.
