Zirconium Integral Desk Knife - Possibly the Only One of Its Kind in the World
This little knife was hand forged from a solid bar of 702 pure Zirconium, to the best of my knowledge, it is the only solid Zirc knife in existence. Zirconium is a challenging material to work with, and does not harden in the same way as steel. This knife was a challenge to build, but the final product is an absolutely unique and sleek elangent cutting instrument. Zirconium is extremely corrosion resistant and the fire etched finish leaves a beautiful charcoal black finish with a hint of oil slick rainbow color in the right light.
The knife is 5.5" overall length, with a cutting edge of 2".
The edge of the knife has been work hardened to allow it to maintain its edge longer, even with the hardening, this knife will not hold up to hard use, and will hold up the best to cutting paper and other softer materials.
From raw stock to a seamless, one-piece build, this knife embodies precision, problem-solving, and elite craftsmanship.
