This blade was forged by Matt Hartwig and has been in the works for several years. It is the final piece from a large billet of steel that has been crafted into some truly exceptional knives. The nearly 13-inch blade features a fuller and a refined flat to convex grind,  a modern Western interpretation of traditional Japanese blade geometry. The oak handle sits comfortably in the hand and beautifully complements the deep black 1080 core, while the hammered copper spacer adds a striking splash of color and just the right amount of weight to bring the whole piece together.
